I was chillin' at my parents house & stumbled upon Jill's blog (I'm so jealous of your favorite "room", by the way) & found out I was tagged & what not... So as soon as I came home (last night around 9:30p.m.) I went right to work!
#1- post a picture of your kitchen sink as it looks this very moment:Luckily nobody had been home to mess it up!
#2 - Post a picture of your toiletPart of me really wanted to move that basket of junk, but I thought I better be fair, considering I cheated as well & posted our kid's toilet...
#3 - Post a picture of your laundry room
Here's one of the unfinished rooms in our basement we actually use, aside from storage... Lucky for me, you caught me on a weekend, when I have most the laundry cleared & put away...
My laundry room doubles as my "haircare lab" once a week-
#4 - Post a picture of the inside of your fridge.Wow, we have a lot of yogurt in there! It was on sale...
#5 - Post a picture of what your kids/husband are doing right now. This picture was taken at approximately 10:00 p.m., so I'm sure if you have kids you can guess why he's so ornery...
We were boating pretty late, so Brett's finally getting a chance to eat some dinner...
#6 - Show us your favorite shoes.
I forgot this one & am honestly feeling too lazy to go take & upload another picture...
#7 - Show us your favorite room in your house.
I'm really diggin' Hunter's room. Here's why:
1) Bright blue + chocolate brown! As far as the decorating goes, I think its just right for a boy's room- not too gaudy, not too plain.
2) The memories from when we were preparing for baby Kye: Hunter helped paint the room & put up the chair rail (yes- we did it ourselves!); We had a rockin' garage sale while we refinished the furniture; It was a nice cool room all last summer(Brett had an extra vent put in); It holds an incredibly comfy bed, which was perfect for a preggo mommy & her sweet boy to enjoy at naptime!
3) The walk-in closet! He said, "My room doesn't have a master bathroom, but it has a master closet!" He loves to close the door & play in there. (Please people, tell me this is normal behavior??)I had to throw in a pic of my great-room (I like this room, but it is on my re-decorating list for the future.) Notice the SPRING that needed to be taken down a month ago...
#8 - Show us your closet. Yes, I like to organize our clothes. Sometimes I try to put Brett's clothing in a certain order, so I can trick him into wearing certain outfits when I want...
He's usually too smart for that. He wears what he wants.
#9 - What is your dream vacation?
I love places with gorgeous beaches... Hawaii, Cozumel, anywhere with nice sand... Brett loves to snorkel & I love to watch him from the beach as I lay out!
#10 - Self portrait as you look right now. Why is it so hard to get Hunter to keep his eyes open for the flash? His camera smile always involves the forced cheeser-grin & closed eyes. AAGHH!
Good thing he's super cute!
Hmm, who shall I tag? Arien, Irene & Mel- No cheating- go take your pics & let us see everything how it is!
Where did THE LAST 3 YEARS go? Playing catch up is too overwhelming so I'll just try to keep going as if I never stopped.

Lagoon Day
Last Friday, we packed up the strollers, coolers, kids, (& sunscreen, hats, water, snacks, cameras- you name it) & headed down to Lagoon. This was both boy's very first time going to Lagoon. It took a few rides for the "line" concept to sink in, but pretty soon, Hunter was having fun. After Hunter stepped off the mini-swings, he said "That made me dizzy. I'm tired of going around and around."
(Funny, he loved the carousel...)
Kye also loved the carousel! (Probably 'cause he was able to actually ride- instead of sit there watching from his stroller...
...maybe it's time we purchased a double...
Thanks to Jill, Connor, & Dave for the company! We were quite the partiers- we were some of the last to leave the parking lot that night! (Pretty sad when getting home at 11:30 makes you feel like you stayed out late...) Anyways the kids loved it, I loved my dippin' dots, & we all had lots of fun!

Handprints Are Worth It!
Well, what are big brothers for? Here's Hunter to the rescue!
I have a feeling these two are going to start to collaborate a lot more in the near future. It's funny how it seems so much more fun when they're naughty together...
So, when all is said & done, I guess the handprints that were left all over the glass (just after I spent a good half hour scrubbing that exact spot) were worth it! The boys added to their brotherly bond & I was able to get some dang cute pictures out of it!

The Fun Starts Here!
Last week we packed up the kids & headed down to the St. George area for a little boating trip! We stayed in a hotel (because boating + camping + 2 kids = way too much work) & “beached it” all day Thursday & Friday.
Can I just say how great it is to have my parents help with the kids! We are definitely spoiled!!
I have to admit, I was a little scared bringing Kye along, (this was his first boating trip & he's at an extremely active age... Needless to say, I envisioned lots of screaming- not just coming from the baby) but he absolutely loved the boat!
(What’s not to like?)
Here we have Hunter buried in the sand...
While his brother has a sand feast... Hunter (as always) loved the boat! We made a new discovery with him this year- He can literally play for hours in the sand!
He also had lots of fun learning to float with his life jacket!
Might I add... Here is my mom wakeboarding! I won't say her age, but keep in mind, I am her daughter at 26 years old! She is able to ski & wakeboard better than me! (Not that I'm a hard person to beat). But seriously! We call her the WAKEBOARDIN' GRANDMA!

Father's Day Tribute
Just a quick note saying happy Father’s Day!
I couldn’t ask for a better father for my children. Brett is so great- he loves to play with his boys! What’s even more important is his example to them!
Brett is extremely patient with all of us; he can find a way to bring humor into any situation; he is hard-working & ambitious; he has his priorities straight; he shows his boys the right way to treat women (he treats me like a princess); he has a strong, unwavering testimony; & basically, I couldn’t be happier that he’s ours!!
Hunter wants to be just like his dad, & I’m encouraging it!
Another great father & grandfather is my husband’s dad. I know Brett had a great example (see all of the above) as well. Thanks, Terry, for being a great dad for my honey!
Last but not least, is my own father. Dad- you’re great! Thanks for all you do! We all love you, especially for all your quirks! I’ve never once wondered if you cared! You’ll do anything for us kids, & we’re so blessed to have you!
It’s so fun to watch Kyler & my dad have a little bond! Kye even lets my dad squeeze him tightly, something most babies (especially Hunter) would never allow. Who knows, maybe it’s their fair skin & blue eyes!!
Okay, so it wasn't such a quick note after all... thank you for reading my novel, & HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!

226 Missing Bri-Guy
Boat-worthy Days...
There's about 7 in May, 30 in June, 31 SUPER days in both July & August, & some weeks in September, so about 113 total. We're missing Brian twice that amount, so I figure there are 226 days I'm going to be really sad he's half-way across the planet.
Elder Brian Larson has been serving his mission in South Africa (cool!) since October 2007. If anyone knows this guy, they know he's an awesome missionary, because he's a hard-working, happy, people-person, who has a strong testimony and a great desire to share the truth!
Now don't get me wrong, I have thought about him in the past eight months... I've even written a letter or two (which everyone knows I'm horrible at)! But the sacrifice he's making is now even more evident (to me) because he LOVES the lake!
I know Brian is doing exactly the right thing; (hello Sarah?!) sharing the gospel is far more important than lazily kicking back on the boat, but who can blame me, I'm missing my little bro! So, Brian, we'll miss you for the 226 days you can't be out on the boat with us. I can't wait to see you jumpin' the wake in 2010!
