So, because LOVE DAY is coming up, I decided I better finish this hubby tag from, what? Like three months ago? No, seriously, I think Becky tagged me back in October... So it's about time!
1. Where did you meet?
Brett says we met in the show choir up at USU. I say we met the day my roommate, Brianna's frog died. (True story- Brett walked me to my car one night after a late rehearsal, and when I got home, my roommate's frog had died- we had a little funeral and everything (I know, silly college girls). Bri kept saying now someone could find their prince, and low and behold, Brett called & asked me out- 100% True story.2. How long did you date before you got married?
We dated 5 months & then we were engaged. 4 months later we were married.3. How long have you been married?
6 and a half years
4. What is your favorite feature of his?
Definitely his gorgeous dark eyes... Or maybe his bulging biceps... He's a pretty hot 31-year-old, as far as I'm concerned!5. What is your favorite quality of his?
Honestly, he has too many good ones to narrow it down- I first fell and am still in love with his excitement for life, his ambition, and the fact that he genuinely cares about other people. His ability to constantly make me laugh is a perk, as well!
6. Does he have a nickname for you?
It depends on his mood. Sometimes it's "hon," sometimes it's "suga-lips."
7. What is his favorite color?
I don't think he even knows the answer to that.
8. What is his favorite food?
Snickers Ice Cream Bars
9. What is his favorite sport?
Basketball. Hence the "I NEED FSN!" in the winter...
10. When and where was your first kiss?
We had been dating almost a month, he walked me to the door, and... It was nice.
11. What is your favorite thing to do as a couple?
We love to be together. Boating, singing, vacationing, and playing with the kids are probably at the top of our list.Last December, making a gingerbread house with the boys.
12. Do you have any children?
2 loud and roudy boys!(See, I said he had some hot muscles!) Hunter has been telling us how much he misses boating. He says the winter is boring, and I think his dad would agree.
Nomatter how many times people say Kye looks like my side, I think he and his daddy have the same look when they smile. (It helps that they're both smiling so often.)
13. Does he have a hidden talent?
So many- He can play a mad game of tennis while holding a crying child, He can catch and squash a fly with his bare hand, and I joke that he's the only person on earth who can fire someone and have them thanking him a few minutes later.
14. How old is he?
31
15. Who said "I love you" first?
He did.
16. What is his favorite type of music?
I can tell you what he doesn't like- classical or jazz.17. What do you admire the most about him? He is an amazing father, husband, and friend. He is super patient and is able to be a great example without being judgmental or self righteous. He is very good at loving unconditionally & has the ability to lighten anyone's mood (For those of you who know how moody I can be, he's definitely the one for me!)
I tag Beth, Brianna, Holly, Irene, Jill, Robyn, and Shannon. Share your man with us!
Where did THE LAST 3 YEARS go? Playing catch up is too overwhelming so I'll just try to keep going as if I never stopped.

M-O-M Spells:
Birthdays just aren't the same when you're a mom....
Don't get me wrong, my hubby & our parents always do a wonderful job of making my day special. In fact, Brett was so good at giving me exactly what I wanted: Cold, hard, CASH!(I also asked him to start a "Keep Sarah Looking Young" fund, where we could start saving up for some collagen fillers, ultrasonic & laser facials, maybe a nip and/or tuck here and there, but he just laughed. Well, we'll see if he's laughing in about twenty years when there's no fund to keep me looking young.)
No, really I had a great birthday weekend and great birthday day, it's just, as I'm sure many of you can relate, when you're a mom, your birthday sometimes is, well... Another plain old day of changing diapers, wiping snotty noses, making breakfast, cleaning up, making lunch, cleaning up, playing toys, cleaning up, and so on and so on. This particular birthday found me in the doc's office with my sweet baby, who had a horrible case of croup and a massive ear infection. Can you blame the poor guy for being so irritable?
The highlight of my birthday: As we were waiting to get his prescription filled, I happened to notice a grand grocery sale- and was able to spend a good hour loading up on food storage! Who'd have ever thought my favorite b-day activity would consist of me flipping through my coupon book while my husband pushed the cart (full of kids & cereal boxes) behind me?! As I said, birthdays aren't the same when you're a mom! This picture has nothing to do with my birthday, but for some reason, whenever I post a pic of one kid, I feel guilty if I don't post the other. So, here's Hunter making faces as we built our snow fort the other day- His sweet little voice repeating, "I love you mommy," and "Happy Birthday, M-O-M!" was the best present of all!

Top Ten Countdown:
Sarah's Favorite New Year Traditions:
10) Popping open the Sparkling Cider! Yum!
9) Reading over my journal from years past. That always gives me a good laugh :)
8) Sampling lots of yummy food! It's the last night I allow myself to eat ALL the junkfood in sight, so I have to make it count... No, who am I kidding, that goal usually lasts about a month at the most.
7) Cleaning & organizing the storage room (Brett especially loves this one.)
6) The Annual After-Christmas Markdowns on next year's Christmas items (ie, wrapping paper, ornaments, lights, decor, you name it!)
5) Staying up late on New Years Eve!
4) Sleeping in on New Years Day! Thanks honey!
3) Dumping out every toy we own into an enormous pile, then sorting/organizing/throwing out/etc. Can we say, OCD?
2) More shopping! Sweaters, gloves, hats, & boots- what great bargains!
1) Setting new goals & starting fresh! Hooray!
