Just as life is like a rollercoaster with it's ups and downs, so it is with my journaling efforts. Gotta be authentic, right?

Where did THE LAST 3 YEARS go? Playing catch up is too overwhelming so I'll just try to keep going as if I never stopped.

Sand Storms & Cameras Don't Mix

It started out as a beautiful early June day on this gorgeous Sand Hollow beach...

We unloaded everything to make a nice little beach spot.

Note: time to unload & set up was atleast a full half hour.

Another note: look for the tiny little gray cloud in the background...

The sun was shining, kids were smiling, adults were laughing, I took out my camera, yada yada...

With a click of the shutter, the wind picked up, the clouds moved in, and in a matter of minutes we found ourselves caught in not only a storm, but a SAND STORM...

Here we are trying to keep five little boys pacified as we load up the boat to get out of there!
Note: time to get all the beach gear (including kids) back on the boat was less than fifteen minutes.

Now, you're probably thinking, "What kind of moron would take out their camera in a sand storm?" All I can say is, lesson learned, folks. Lesson learned.

So, two months plus a brand new camera later, I am finally posting some boating pics:

Here we have Flaming Gorge:

Our new favorite place boasts a cute little fishing pond with a gorgeous view.Learning to fish (sorry for the tilted pic, no time to straighten it out).

Kye looking over the edge of the dock (FYI: before you're inclined to turn me in for not having life jackets on my kids, there were four adults watching and the pond was only about two feet deep).

The cabin (sorry, yet again for the kink in your necks)

Brotherly bonding while winding in the rope...

Brett's Rad Moves!

More Smokin' Hot Moves...

Time to relax a bit...

More relaxing...

"Whitey #1" and "Whitey #2" :)

Some more of the same...

Hunter learning to "ski" on the tube...

Brett learning to "ski" on the tube...

Kye learning to "ski" on the tube...

Flaming Gorge A Week Later:

Boys on back of the boat...
Watching a movie on the porch... Their wives laugh at their "Bromance..."

Kids on futon in cabin... Poor Kye tries to be like the big boys

More "skiing" moves by Hunter...
Hanging out on the tube, aka, raft.

Picture with the wooden cowboy (my boyfriend) in front of the log cabin... I'm obviously feeling a little dorky... Brett says I look "special..."
Kye's gorgeous blue eyes...

I could live here, surrounded by this gorgeous view...

Stay tuned, more boating pics to come...
