Just as life is like a rollercoaster with it's ups and downs, so it is with my journaling efforts. Gotta be authentic, right?

Where did THE LAST 3 YEARS go? Playing catch up is too overwhelming so I'll just try to keep going as if I never stopped.

Third Time's The Charm?

Apparently not for us!!
Because I've waited such a long time to post, I wanted to have some majorly "blog-worthy" news to post about... With that being said, here's our news:
Baby Boy #3 is on his way!

Our own little "Black Stallion" is coming in May.
I say Black Stallion, because despite all his parent's efforts in trying to conceive a girl (yes, I know, when will I ever learn my lesson- I'm not in charge!?!) he defied all the odds- and is already bigger, manlier, and more stubborn (if that's even possible) than his brothers were at 17 weeks gestation...
So even though I can't honestly say I'm bursting with excitment, at least I won't have to redecorate or spend tons of time making hair bows and accessories or blow hundreds of dollars on cute frilly pink dresses... (Okay, I'm not even going to let myself go there.)
No, really, we're just happy he's healthy and feel blessed to be given another missionary to raise.
And who knows? This kid may come out and be the easiest baby ever- Maybe the third time really will be the charm. Here's to hoping!

Not Tired Yet...

On July 30, 2002, at this exact time, Brett and I were married for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple. 8 years later, here are a few memories Brett and I have from our day:

Brett's Memories:
1- Our sealer turned the lights out as we rode in the elevator, and said "Okay you have one minute to kiss!" After we kissed, he exclaimed, "Whoa, that was loud!"

2- While we were having our photos taken around the temple grounds, our photographer yelled, "These pictures are gonna kiss a**!"

3- As we rode the elevator to our honeymoon suite, an old man told us his best marriage advice: "Make sure your ups and downs always stay between the sheets." (Anyone notice how Brett remembers a lot about elevators?)

Sarah's Memories:
1- Our sealer kept kissing me & repeatedely told me I was "so darn cute!" Brett assures me it wasn't a pick-up line...

2- My grandma and I experienced an awkward kiss on the lips. (Okay, enough with the kissing stories...)

3- Before the ceremony, he gave us some advise about the importance of good communication:
Husband: "I'm sure proud of you!"
Wife: "Well I'm sure tired of you too!"

8 years later, we can still talk to each other about anything. Brett, thanks for being such a wonderful husband & father- You're ambitious, kind, strong, quietly confident, extremely patient, and you continually help me to grow. Above all, you're my best friend! I'm not tired of you in the least!!

Don't Blink!

5 years go by quickly!

Remember when you were five?

Your parents were way old...

You had every super power known to man...

You were the trickiest kid ever...

You were the smartest kid ever...

Your little world seemed pretty big...

Your favorite foods were corndogs and icecream...

You played all day...
Yeah, five is good.
Even if your mom thinks your still her sweet baby boy!

Hurry & Post Before May Ends!!

As fun and memorable as doing a show with your hubby is, it means letting a few things go. Cleaning, yard-work, cooking, work-outs, projects, blogging... I've been playing catch up in every life area, but vowed I could not neglect our litte soccer star:

Hunter had fun with the Spring Season, even if it was a bit early for him at 8:30. Okay, who am I kidding? It was early for all of us!

But Hunter was filled with sheer determination, tired or not!

Most of the time...

It was also more chilly than not, but Hunter's fans were there to cheer him on, rain, snow, or extra mild shine!

Look at that stinkin' cute soccer player! He had a great time and loved his teammates!
Shaking hands with the "other" guys.
Congratulatory Hug! I'm enjoying this stage- especially because I know before long I'll be lucky to get a high five out of them.

On a completely different note, I have to mention Kye's "girlfriends," Daisy & Minnie. He contantly walks around holding one in each arm, seatbelts them in the car with him, sleeps with them, "feeds" them, and "keeps them warm."

When I asked him why he likes his girls, he said, "I like to kiss them!" When I asked him to choose just one, he refused to make the commitment... Should I be worried?

Into The Woods! Don't Miss Out!

After 6 years, Brett and I are finally doing another show together! The Terrace Plaza Playhouse Presents: Into The Woods!

An ambivilent Cinderella? A blood-thirsty Little Red Riding Hood? A Prince Charming with a roving eye? A Witch . . . who raps? They’re all among the cockeyed characters in this fractured fairy tale.

When a Baker and his Wife learn they’ve been cursed with childlessness by the Witch next door, they embark on a quest to break the spell.

In this "Princess-Bride-style" tale, we see several familiar fary tale characters, as their stories intertwine. They each arrive at "Happily Ever After," only to find, that in real-life, our stories never end...With its witty, humorous, touching score and a book that cleverly combines the characters you grew up hearing about, Into the Woods is the perfect show for anyone who's ever made a wish. Directed By: Shelby Ferrin Musical Director: Krista Baer Tickets are $10/$12 for adults, $7/$9 for children, with $1 off for Seniors or Students. Reserve your tickets by calling 801-393-0070, 9:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. Monday through Friday. The playhouse is located at 99 East 4700 South, Ogden, UT. For more information about the playhouse or the show, visit www.terraceplayhouse.com Even our kids LOVE the show! It's clever, deep, witty, thoughtful, entertaining, and funny- all at the same time! But don't just take my word for it, come see for yourselves!

Come see Brett & Sarah, as The Baker and His Wife: April 16, 19, 30, May 3, 8, 14, 17, 22, 28!
