Just as life is like a rollercoaster with it's ups and downs, so it is with my journaling efforts. Gotta be authentic, right?

Where did THE LAST 3 YEARS go? Playing catch up is too overwhelming so I'll just try to keep going as if I never stopped.

Into The Woods! Don't Miss Out!

After 6 years, Brett and I are finally doing another show together! The Terrace Plaza Playhouse Presents: Into The Woods!

An ambivilent Cinderella? A blood-thirsty Little Red Riding Hood? A Prince Charming with a roving eye? A Witch . . . who raps? They’re all among the cockeyed characters in this fractured fairy tale.

When a Baker and his Wife learn they’ve been cursed with childlessness by the Witch next door, they embark on a quest to break the spell.

In this "Princess-Bride-style" tale, we see several familiar fary tale characters, as their stories intertwine. They each arrive at "Happily Ever After," only to find, that in real-life, our stories never end...With its witty, humorous, touching score and a book that cleverly combines the characters you grew up hearing about, Into the Woods is the perfect show for anyone who's ever made a wish. Directed By: Shelby Ferrin Musical Director: Krista Baer Tickets are $10/$12 for adults, $7/$9 for children, with $1 off for Seniors or Students. Reserve your tickets by calling 801-393-0070, 9:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. Monday through Friday. The playhouse is located at 99 East 4700 South, Ogden, UT. The Pitter-Patter Of Little...

Paws!?!

The Big Birthday Continued:

Yes, two weeks ago, Hunter (actually, all three of my boys) caught me at an extremely weak moment and I consented to get a puppy. Why? Well, partly because I agree with my husband that every little boy needs a dog, but mostly because I've completely lost my mind. Nevermind that we already have two little "puppies" of our own to take care of, or that I'm busy with my little girl's singing group/doing hair/elementary musicals/you name it, not to mention church callings, playdates, joy- & pre-school, and the full-time job it is to manage a home... Or maybe it was because we were able to squeeze in some time to do another show together (finally, after 6 years of waiting!), and I thought, "Gee, life is too boring, we need a puppy." Well, whatever the reason, I finally gave in, and, crazy or not, I think the look on this little guy's face is worth it...

So what if we've lost enough sleep to feel like we have a newborn again? Who needs sleep, really? So what if we're excited when the puppy "only" has three accidents a day? Carpet can be replaced. So what if Sarah-the-neat-freak has to let go of some of her OCD? It's worth it, because now Kyler is no longer the "most difficult" member of the household...

He loves his "Taters" as well. One of my stipulations was that I got to name him. I chose "Tate," because it's my favorite name, but Brett refused it for our kids. So, now I have a dog named Tate ;)

And the boys have a little "Shmorkie" puppy to literally cart around.

Let's just hope this pet lasts longer than the cat did.
