Just as life is like a rollercoaster with it's ups and downs, so it is with my journaling efforts. Gotta be authentic, right?

Where did THE LAST 3 YEARS go? Playing catch up is too overwhelming so I'll just try to keep going as if I never stopped.

Brett's Garden

Is a "Secret Garden!"
The boys and I were priviledged to sit in at a rehearsal the other night.

Naturally, I had to snatch some video clips.
I have no qualms when it comes to showing off my hubby's amazing talent!

Pardon the crappy film job- I was a bit preoccupied trying to keep a certain little monkey still...

The boys couldn't contain their excitement when dad performed his "Dragon Song:"
After watching the rehearsal Hunter stated,
"So dad's pretty much the movie star of this place."
(Ah, how it would feel to be the hero in your child's eyes...)

This next one is my personal favorite:
"Secret Garden" runs March 4-26 (Mondays, Fridays, & Saturdays) at the Heritage Theater.

I Might As Well Open A Pharmacy

Seriously, I have never bought so much medicine in my life!  So far, 2011 has proven to be the sickest year in our family's history... From the flu, to strep, to pink eye, to sinus infections, to ear infections, to croup, to asthma and reflux flare ups, and, of course every little cold known to man, my kids and I have had it all- starting around the middle of January until now. Pretty crappy, but I'm hopeful it's over!

Being cooped up in the house has a lot of side effects.
The main one I've noticed, is the emergence of "Mr. Attitude."

Another side effect to be expected, is "Mr. I-am-more-wild-than-normal-because-I'm-going-crazy-so-I'm-going-to-drive-you-even-more-crazy-as-well!"

Keeping the boys entertained while stuck inside, unable to play with any friends, is quite a challenge.
But as long as mom is willing to think of something new every half hour and encourages making a mess, this guy stays happy:

Luckilly, we took a break from sickness for Love Day!
I was glad they were able to use the boxes they had worked so hard on:
Kye's box wraps his personality up in a nutshell.
He LOVES pink and purple hearts, but they have to be complemented with his "Star Wars" obsession:
Every time we were all healthy at once, I took advantage and got us the heck out of our house!
The boy's newfound favorite place is the Aerospace Museum:
Hunter wishes he could live there:
He is now considering being a pilot when he grows up.
Or an astronaut.
So is Kyler.
This is what Kye looked like most of the time.
When he runs around like crazy and performs random wild tricks, it means he's feeling happy and fullfilled.
And even though we probably pick up more germs when we do get out, I've decided it's necessary when raising boys. Oh how I miss the nice weather, when I can just send them outside all day to run off their energy! The count-down for summer is on!
