Just as life is like a rollercoaster with it's ups and downs, so it is with my journaling efforts. Gotta be authentic, right?

Where did THE LAST 3 YEARS go? Playing catch up is too overwhelming so I'll just try to keep going as if I never stopped.

It All Started With THE CAR SEAT!!

Trae’s first birthday came whether I wanted it or not!
I remember when the older boys were babies and I would be stopped in the store by admiring elders who would smile and say “They don’t stay little very long so make sure you enjoy every moment!” Back then, that kind of talk just went over my head, but from my current “older, more-experienced-mother” perspective, I do wish I could squeeze every millisecond of his babyhood into a bottle and savor every moment!
It all started with his car seat- When Trae was about 11 months old, he started turning into Houdini when it came to his backward-facing car seat.  No matter how hard I tightened him in, he was able to wriggle around to his belly, trying to climb out and “free” himself. After the third time that this happened while I was driving on the freeway, I decided it would probably just be safer for all of us if I just put him forward facing. So, here he is feeling ultra big at 11 and a half months old (sorry so blurry, third child gets most pictures taken with phone:
We celebrated with the family a week early, since his birthday fell on Mother’s Day and I wanted him to have his own special day!
He definitely knows he’s special!
Time for cake:
Trae LOVES balls- bouncy balls, basketballs, baseballs, soccer balls, gumballs, you show him anything that resembles a ball and he's hooked!
SO that made my job super easy- cupcakes all the way!
Trae loved his cake! He didn't go crazy and down it in one gulp (like we thought he would), but poked at it nicely before monster mashing himself in birthday delicious-ness!
Everyone enjoyed the cake!
And the spiderman piñata
Trae especially loved wacking away at spiderman!
When all was said and done, Trae was lookin mighty big!
Whether we want it or not, our baby is growing up :(

Showtime!!

We have been running like CRAZY with three different "shows" over the last 4 months!
Show #1) Hunter's School Play:
We spent much of our time January-March working on this production- and it turned out wonderfully, if I say so myself!
Hunter was amazing as a Villager: "You buffoons couldn't stop a fly, leave the saving to me!"

Show #2) Brett & Sarah's Show:
We always love it when we can do a show together- this time was extra fun (and cheesy) cuz we were able to "fall in love" on stage!
Lucky Stiff News Article:

We just had our closing night last weekend (hence the time I now have to blog about it)
Here are some snippets (in case you missed out)!

Show #3) SHOWING the house:
We added even more to our adventure
when we put the house up for sale in April...
After a month-long rush (and 19 showings) it sold.
We will be moving the last week of June.
It's a bittersweet feeling- we built this home almost nine years ago (and put tons of blood/sweat/tears into it- might I add), started our family here, LOVE the people, and feel really attached to everything and everyone...
But we felt it was time and knew as our family gets older it would be even harder to move.
We have definitely felt Heavenly Father's hand guiding us throughout the process and feel we are going where we're meant to be.
We get to be "homeless" over the summer (living with parents and maybe out of the car!?!) while we wait for our new home to be finished. Cross your fingers for us- we're in for quite a ride!

We Are Alive!!

Yes. We DO still exist.
We are just so crazy-happy-overbooked-healthy-and-busy that time seems to literally speed by!!

This "Pumpkin Pie" masterpeice of a song
Feels like last week...
The Christmas Season
seems like yesterday...
We took our traditional Front Runner Excersion to see the lights at temple square
Trae was as bright-eyed as ever, with lots to take in!
Kyler's Preschool Program was quite the crack up:
Kyler was as charming as ever, hamming it up and enjoying every bit of the spotlight:
The boys loved visiting with Santa on three separate occassions!
This Santa took one look at Kye and said, "I bet they never have to tell you to speak up."
(Yeah, no kidding!)
Hunter's Stage Debut:
Hunter LOVED performing with Stage Dynamics-
After each performance was over, he would ask, "When do I get to do it again?"

And this
Just barely happened!  (Back in January!)
Thanks to Granny-Nanny we were able to take all three boys to Disneyland!
2012 is off to a great start!
